Training this term AND Volunteers needed for freshers :D

Hello!

My first message as the new club captain and just a bit about the coming year and new training times. I hope everyone is squeezing the most out of the last few weeks of summer, if it still is summer for most people.

Training starts regularly again SOON, on the 3rd October to be precise. Training times for the following year are:

Saturdays: 11am - 1pm

Sundays: 6 - 8pm

Wednesdays: 7-9pm

ALL of these sessions will be held in the Old Gym.

So the first session back will be on the 3rd October and it will be as scheduled from then on, plenty of time to remember those rusty patterns...

But FIRST the year is starting with new freshers and I am asking for help with the Freshers Sports Fair which is NEXT WEEK on Wednesday 23rd September.

Basically we need people to help give out flyers/talk to freshers and just generally show people are great our club and sport are so that they come to training and can be a part of our wonderful group :D

The sports fair runs in the Munrow centre on campus from 1-6pm and we will have a stand there for all of that, but what we really need help with is people out and about guiding fresh faced students, as well as returning students, towards the stand and in turn, our club.

If you can spare any time during the day then please email me back or message me on facebook, and I will let you know how you can help. It really would be good to try and spread the taekwondo joy, and should be a good laugh as well. If you're lucky you may even get to kick a tiger for freshers' amusements ;P

I'm looking forward to a great year for the club which will see all the thrills of tournaments, including the return of the Birmingham Open hosted by us (obviously), plenty of social events for us to let our hair down (for those of us that have any), and hopefully some great successess for the club, as well as the joys of training camps, gradings, seminars and the list goes on!
