Candidates:

Captain:

Jonathan Price

I want to be involved in the club and help it move on from this slightly tricky year to really successful things, and think I am capable of doing it.  I am an RA at the moment for my halls (this ends at Christmas) so am used to organising things and being a representative for others.  Also although I am relatively new to WTF taekwondo I did do ITF taekwondo for 3 and a half years so am not completely inexperienced.

I'm keen to make the club as good as it can be, and want to be a part of what I think could be a really good year for us.

Vice Captain:

Kiran Basra

I would like the opportunity to represent Birmingham Taekwondo as vice captain in the next committee. I understand the demands of this role and feel I will be effective in meeting them. I have much experience in organising events and leading groups. Just to put forward one example, in year 13 I successfully coordinated two charity gigs, raising a combined total of £700, and receiving publicity from newspapers, television as well as recognition by local MP's. I don't take my responsibilities lightly and if elected, I will be fully dedicated to my role. As well as having the skills and relative to experience required for this post, I believe Birmingham Taekwondo is an amazing club and I would like to be a key member in maintaining it next year.

Kiranjit Raja-Sansi

I consider myself eligible as I am a dedicated and enthusiastic individual as well as organised and efficient and I believe these qualities are vital for the posts I am applying for. In addition, next year will be my final year at the University of Birmingham so will be my last chance to be apart of the committee and therefore my last chance to contribute as much as I can to the running of the club, which is what I intend on doing should I be chosen to be apart of the committee.

Treasurer:

Beth Phillips

I believe I am suitable for this role as I am organised and work well with numbers.  I have had experience in working within a team in the past.  I would particularly welcome the opportunity to be part of the new team in the coming year, with the club fully running again.

Peter Keeley

I think it would be a good chance for me to get involved with the club and I think it would be a good experience to be in a position such as the treasurer and I think I would enjoy it too.

Secretary:

Jessica Bethom

I would love to get more involved with the club and I feel that I would be a good secretary because I am organised and responsible. I am approachable, friendly and work well as a team. I am extremely committed to the club and a very motivated person.

Social Secs:
