Fancy Dress 2006
On Tuesday, 24th January an event so mighty was organised that everyone had no option but to dress up and look silly! As the pictures clearly demonstrate no one let the club down and all present achieved a required level of silliness. The theme for the evening was “what you were in a past life” giving even the least creative of folk enough scope (no no, not the charity…) to go crazy at fancy dress shops and random clothes markets. Your trusty social rep’s - Kate and Charlie – tried, with mixed success to keep the rowdy and raucous menagerie under control by dressing as policemen/women.
Proceedings started at the Bristol Pear, continued to the Goose and finished at our favourite haunt that is the Gun Barrels (our proud sponsors). Whilst my memory is a little sketchy at this point, eye witness reports and photographic evidence also confirm that we made it to Forbidden Fruits and danced the night away (in some cases, more enthusiastic members danced their clothes away too!).
Many thanks to everyone who made a fantastic effort with costumes. Special mention goes to Pirate Amy (gaaaar!) and Sir Richard Cartwright esq. for achieving honours in the women’s and men’s fancy dress categories respectively. They both were rewarded with some shots of Sambuka for their efforts.
Love from Kate and Charlie xx
