Firstly, congratulations to the new committee!

Secondly, AU Superstars will be on Wednesday, the 13th June (the same day as the AU Sports dinner for those people who it applies to).

AU Superstars is an annual event run by the AU for all Sports clubs.  24 clubs can put forward a team of people, each of whom competes in a different event (see below).  Entry is £4.00 per person.

The aim of the day is fun and participation and everyone who is free should come along with picnic and beers to join in as participants or spectators.

We are looking for Taekwondists who wish the compete in the following categories -

• Gym tests (press-ups, sit-ups, dips, etc)
• 1000m Row
• Climbing (on a climbing machine not a wall!)
• 50m Swim
• 1500m Run
• 100m Sprint

There is also a space for a Super-Superstar.  This person competes in all 6 events throughout the day!

To maintain the honour of the club, we need people to put their names forwards.  So get e-mailing and see you all there!!

Ahmed has once again produced a quality DVD of our club in action.  Following much filming and editing, a completed version of Birmingham at the 2007 Student Nationals is available for you to buy!

It will cost a bargain price of £2 and will be avaiable at most training sessions from now on.  To make sure Ahmed is present and has brought along the DVDs, please send him an e-mail to let him know you are interested (jj99_cn@hotmail.com)!!!

Wednesday sessions will be back on this term, starting from Wednesday 2nd May, 20.30-22.00 in the Dance Studio.  Cost of £2 per person to cover hall hire.

Normal weekend training also resumes from this weekend (5th/6th May).

use the sessions as a useful way to break up your revision!

The elections for the lub committee will be taking place on Saturday 12th May (TBC). Because of his the cut-off point for nominating yourselves as candidates will be idnight on Sunday 7th May, leaving you just under 2 weeks.

Details of the roles within the committee and of the elections are in my previous email and are also posted on the website. Once again, please make the effort to take part in the running of the club in order to guarantee its success for another academic year.
