Chief Instructor: Master Stephen Blomeley

Master Stephen Blomeley, 6th Dan, is the chief instructor of the club and the founder of the Ki-Taekwondo Association (K.T.A.).

The K.T.A. is a W.T.F. based group practicing the Korean martial art and Olympic Sport in and around the Stockport area. The Ki-Taekwondo Association is a full member of the BTCB (British Taekwondo Control Board) and the emblem of the K.T.A. is the White Tiger.

Master Blomeley oversees the termly belt grading held at the beginning of December, end of March and end of June of each academic year. He is also present at various national and international tournaments, and visits the Unversity club throughout the year to host seminars and workshops.

Instructor: David Grey

David joined the club as a novice back in 2001, during his first year at University. Since then he has gone on to gain his 3rd degree black belt and represent the university at numerous regional and national events. He is a former student national champion, and has also been awarded university colours for sport.

He has previously served on the committee of the British Student Taekwondo Federation, an organisation responsible for the organisation of training and events for the large student Taekwondo community.

David began teaching at the club, (in an official capacity) during 2006 and also has experience of teaching abroad at the 2007 Universum Taekwondo Camp in Hungary. 

David graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2005, and Birmingham Conservatoire in 2008, and when not coaching works as a freelance professional in the music industry.
